Butterick 5257

I sure had fun making this wool blazer for my daughter Kristen. She picked out the fabric from Fabric.com, so I know she will like it! I enjoyed the challenge of matching the plaids, and I am pleased with the result. All it needs are the snaps to close the front, and the buttons for the cuffs. Then I can ship it off to Chicago, and she can get some wear out of it during this cold
winter.Reviewed at PatternReview:

I loved using this little detail of decorative stitching at the center back seam (tho the plaids sure aren't matching HERE! That's okay, it's on the inside!). I first saw it used on Tany's site, and then Sigrid applied it to one of her garments. Now, I need to work on custom labels of some sort.

  1. Nice jacket. I like the extra touch at the back neckline. I saw Tany's and Sigrid's also. I see a fad coming here.
